Spain is one of Europe’s sunniest countries and sees millions of tourists each and every year – the country is already the new home of many British expats and retired persons, and the trend for Brits moving to Spanish climes is picking up more and more with each year. An off plan investor could do a lot worse than to put their money in to the country – whilst the potential for bargains isn’t as ever-present as it is in less popular countries, the ever-booming economy and intense popularity of Spain is sure to give anyone a good reason to invest in the region. Foreign investment is encouraged wholeheartedly by the Powers That Be in Spain, and off plan investors can look forward to a simple, friendly and affordable life if they were to move to the country. Madrid is as good a place as any to start, even though it is one of the priciest regions in Spain. Having said that, the price of property is not as extortionate as one might think, and is easily comparable to other major European cities – proving to be cheaper on average than places such as London or Paris. Other cities such as Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia are just as welcoming for the potential investor, and prices in the smaller towns and cities can prove to be much more affordable – there are even a few bargains still out there, for those who look hard enough. Spain is a delightful country and should be on the list of any potential off plan investor. Whilst some may think the country to be spoiled by the legions of tourists that descend on the nation each and every year, there are still more than enough areas that are unspoilt by this industry. And for those who want to be around touristy areas – they are spoilt for choice! The people are shockingly friendly, the culture is exquisite, the cost of living is affordable and the economy is one of the best around for investments – it isn’t the cheapest, but Spain is still a fantastic investment for anyone.
